Victorian Bookbinders Guild

For all interested in the Art, Craft and Practice of Bookbinding

Meetings are  held on the 4th Tuesday of the month from February to November, at 7pm. Committee meeting is 6pm. Visitors are always welcome.

The meetings generally consist of Book Clinic and a Guest speaker.

The Guest Speaker usually has some specialist knowledge, extensive experience, new technique or item of general interest about books and book binding.

Book clinic is all about sharing your work, ideas, dream projects, problems, and aspirations. We usually start each meeting with Book Clinic, so bring your treasure, trial, joy or problem along. Its doesn't matter if its not specifically a book, maybe you want to share about a trip to somewhere, a technical workshop, some new technique you have learnt, or a new source of information, a website of a book review, or a bookbinder you have met.  How about the first and the last. The first book you bound and the last one your working on.

If you have a slide show of a project, trip, bindery, contact Robert secretary@vbg.net.au or Jim webmaster@vbg.net.au to arrange a projector.

Some come along and see our new home, the hall at the rear of the West Hawthorn Uniting Church, access to the carpark is in Grove St.

Please pay attention to the parking signs, as some spots are permanent parking for residents in adjoining properties.
