W Binding workshop
Bookbinding Victoria

In the Bindery, Rear St Faiths Church 6 Charles St Glen Iris, Parking at rear.
The basis for a W binding is a simple concertina with hard covers. Sections were sewn into the fold using pamphlet stitch then straps are threaded through the stitches. It is a binding that can be extended just limited by the length of the straps and the base concertina. It would be useful as a photograph album or for collages or other bulky items because the concertina acts as a spacer.

Workshop will be given by Gail Stiffe, President of Papermakers of Victoria. From 1–5 Tuesday 27 June at The Bindery, St Faith’s Church Hall, 6 Charles Street, Glen Iris.
